You bring the production line
We bring materials, technology and orders
If you have a lithium battery line and are considering solid-state, or you already run semi-solid-state but are stuck on interface and yield, QuanVol provides Field-driven functional coating separator、Composite solid-state electrolyte、Legacy production line solid-state upgrade plan, and brings Customer and order demand. An existing line upgrades by switching materials with light equipment modification, with no new plant and no teardown.
Going solid-state means three unavoidable questions
The QuanVol partnership model is designed around exactly these three questions.
Heavy investment and long timelines
Building a new solid-state line is capital heavy, slow and risky.QuanVol answers with a light retrofit: the main line is retained, and switching to the field-driven coated separator with the matching composite solid-state electrolyte plus light equipment modification completes the upgrade.
Materials hard to source, specifications unstable
In solid-state, materials are the crux. Change supplier and the performance set changes with it, leaving the line unstable.QuanVol answers with in-house materials: QuanVol makes both separator and electrolyte in house, with unified specifications, traceable data and a matching plan delivered together.
Who buys what you make
The line is upgraded, but where are the orders?QuanVol answers with order coordination: QuanVol handles the market and customer side, bringing defined customer requirements and orders onto the line so capacity never idles waiting for customers.
In a partnership QuanVol brings three things
Materials, technology and orders. All three together, so you focus on one thing: run the line steady and get the product out.
1. Supply materials
The field-driven coated separator and composite solid-state electrolyte are controlled in house by QuanVol. They address interface impedance and ionic conduction while giving your product one consistent, traceable specification.
- Roll, powder or slurry, confirmed against your line specifications and process route
- Not tied to a single oxide, sulfide or polymer route
- Fits liquid, hybrid and solid-state lines
2. Deliver technology
Field-driven solid-state battery technology output. How the line changes, what it becomes and what level it reaches are all delivered together, with no vague promises.
- Line fit assessment + material matching plan + process parameter package
- Retrofit proposal plus validation and data alignment
- Staff training and on-site support through trial production
3. Bring orders
QuanVol already has defined solid-state battery demand on the customer side, covering consumer 3C, UAV, light EV and small traction, robot and AGV, and energy storage.
- Requirements are handled and defined by QuanVol
- Production organized to the QuanVol technology platform and quality standard
- Capacity connected to the market, no idle waiting for customers
A solid-state upgrade in three steps
Every step has clear deliverables and pass criteria, with no vague promises.
Step 1 · Line fit assessment
Inventory the current line conditions (coating, winding, stacking, filling, formation), define the retrofit scope and feasible path and issue an assessment. This step involves no retrofit investment.
Step 2 · Material matching and small-batch trial production
Match separator and electrolyte specifications to the target chemistry, run samples on the line and complete half-cell and full-cell validation with data alignment. After validation, move to small-batch production to confirm line fit and yield.
Step 3 · Volume supply and order coordination
Sign quality and supply assurance terms, bring the line into the QuanVol Inside certification system and settle into a stable supply rhythm. QuanVol channels customer and order demand in parallel so capacity genuinely connects to the market.
Four partnership models, choose by your stage
Start with the lowest-barrier option and go deeper once it runs smoothly.
| Partnership models | Who it fits | Scope of cooperation |
|---|---|---|
| Material supply partnership | Has production lines and wants to validate material performance first | Supplies the field-driven coated separator and composite solid-state electrolyte to specification, with sampling, validation and fine-tuning support |
| Technology output partnership | Wants a full upgrade to a solid-state or semi-solid-state system | Line fit assessment + material matching + process parameter package + retrofit proposal + validation alignment + training and on-site support |
| Product collaboration | Stable capacity, looking to take on brand orders | Production organized to the QuanVol technology platform and quality standard, covered by QuanVol Inside certification, with product definition and market delivery handled by QuanVol |
| Joint development | Specific chemistry or special specification needs | Jointly define material specifications, form factor and cell chemistry, validate together and move to formal supply once validated |
The above is an overview of partnership models. Specific scope, delivery cadence and commercial terms are confirmed one on one according to the customer production line.
Where your product competitiveness comes from after partnering
A stronger product
- Safety to the next level: No fire and no explosion under nail penetration, stopping risk at the source
- Wide temperature range: −40°C to 80°C operating window, no longer limited in cold conditions
- Longer cycle life: NCM 3,000 cycles at 80% retention, LFP beyond 8,000 cycles
- A more stable interface: Interface impedance down 1 to 2 orders of magnitude, improving cycle fade
A better business to run
- Lighter investment: No new plant, existing line retained, minimal modification
- One specification: In-house materials make performance predictable and traceable, with no guesswork
- Orders behind it: QuanVol brings customer and order demand so capacity never idles
- Certification to back it: Joins the QuanVol Inside certification system as a usable technical credential externally
Partnership FAQ
Which cell makers are a good fit for QuanVol?
Cell or battery makers with a lithium battery line who want to enter solid-state or semi-solid-state are the best fit. Whether your liquid line needs an upgrade or your semi-solid line is stuck on interface and yield, start with material sampling or a line fit assessment. Plans differ with line conditions and target chemistry.
How long is the line down? Does it affect current production?
The main line is retained, and the core actions are switching materials plus light equipment modification. The retrofit proposal sets out the construction sequence and downtime schedule. Total duration depends on your line conditions and retrofit scope, and the assessment stage gives you a clear schedule.
Are the orders real? How do you keep capacity from idling?
QuanVol already has defined solid-state battery demand in consumer 3C, UAV, light EV and small traction, robot and AGV, and energy storage. Once a partner line passes validation and joins the certification system, QuanVol channels the relevant customer and order demand to it under the quality standard. Volumes and timing are confirmed project by project in the commercial stage, without promises we cannot support.
Will QuanVol take my customers?
No. QuanVol handles customer engagement, product definition and market delivery; you handle production and delivery. Customer and order information is kept strictly confidential, and your existing customer relationships are unaffected. The division of roles and confidentiality terms are set out in the agreement.
What do we sign?
Depending on the partnership model, we sign a material supply agreement, a technology output agreement or product collaboration terms. Specific clauses are defined in the commercial stage, including confidentiality and quality responsibility allocation.
What about investment and timeline?
No pricing through public channels. Send us your line scale, target chemistry, upgrade scope and schedule, and the commercial proposal will include both pricing and schedule.
Send us your production line details
Line type, target chemistry, current products and upgrade goals. QuanVol issues a line fit assessment first, then we discuss the specific partnership model.
